Horse Pulled From Pool At Suffolk County Home

Police rescued a horse from a pool at a Long Island home.

The incident took place in Suffolk County around 7:50 a.m., Saturday, March 19, when officers responded to a 911 call of a horse stuck in a pool cover at a home in Bohemia.

Police and members of the Bohemia Fire Department responded and pulled the horse, a 3-year-old female named Penny, from the deep end of the pool through the shallow end, said the Suffolk County Police.

The horse was not injured. 

The horse lives at the Pond Road residence.
